Напыщенные фразы – культурное наследие, национальное достояние, только здесь они не напыщенные, а вполне уместны, а еще можно добавить – визитная карточка. Гофман написал рождественскую сказку, Петипа уговорил Чайковского написать балет Щелкунчик на этот сюжет под свои либретто и постановку. А через сто лет Шемякин приблизил либретто ближе к Гофману и прибавил свою сценографию. Стала более современная хореография и еще руку приложил Гергиев. Случай когда сошлось в одном много гениальностей. Так и рождаются шедевры, которые не портят мелкие шероховатости танцев, скорее подчеркивают жизненность этого шедевра. Постановка, скажем, для семейного просмотра, но насколько полезно в такой красочности, в смеси лубка и модерна, знакомиться с этим произведением детям. Воспитание культуры, национального самосознания.
Видео писалось под HDTV, но и ДВДишное качество отменное, несколько в старомодной манере: неспешная смена планом, отсутствие накатов, такой подчеркнутый консерватизм.
К звуку тоже ни каких претензий – оркестр впереди, в яме, а где ему еще быть, зрители вокруг.
Модных бонусов на диске нет вообще – это единственная слабость издания. В трехъязычном буклете либретто, немного истории о постановке балета.
