We are lucky to live in the present - a new golden age for Danish music!
Danish musicians and orchestras are at the highest level. The Danish composers of our time are internationally famous. Music scholars make older Danish music available again. And Dacapoґs recordings of Danish music give music lovers all over the world the best possibilities to explore Danish music.

Since the establishment in 1989 Dacapo has released more than 400 CDґs with Danish music, ranging from the Middle Ages till today. And every new release makes the picture of the fascinating richness of Danish music even more clear. So much original and interesting music has come from Denmark that you tend to forget how small the country really is!

With Dacapo you have the chance to experience Carl Nielsen’s world famous symphonies, but also a large number of his other works. Listen to Poul Rudersґ contemporary and hair-raising operas. The Baroque music by Buxtehude, who was J.S. Bach’s idol. The doomsday vision of the late romantic Langgaard. The chamber music by the profound Vagn Holmboe. And the visionary works by Per Nшrgеrd that reach fare into the future.
