Лично моё знакомство с этой ораторией состоялось совсем недавно и с этого диска, привлекшего моё внимание форматом DVD-A и 5.1 миксом.
О материале сказать пока много не смогу, только лишь то, что чем больше слушаю, тем больше "цепляет", особенно моменты, исполненные клавесином (+ некоторые вокальные партии). Произведение очень большое, приготовьтесь основательно, минут на 80. Треков много (короткие) и они поделены на 3 части.
Исполнители: The Mormon tabernacle Choir, 325 человек, и NightPro Symphony Orchestra, состоящий из 90 исполнителей.
Толстенький буклет рассказывает об авторе, истории создания, исполнителях, записи 1995 года и аппаратуре (высокого уровня), применённой на той сессии.
Увы, автора микса не нашёл, а уровень МК-сведения, скорее "автоматический", чем ручной. Спереди хор-оркестр в трёх точках, сзади оркестр без вокалов с некоторыми акцентами по уровню громкости. Таким образом создано что-то вроде объёма, хотя я бы порекомендовал прибавить громкости тылам. 4 балла.
